Home has been on my mind a lot lately.
Not the place, so much as the idea of it.
For the past few years, Kentucky has been my home. As May and graduation approach, however, and Abby and I fly away to Albania, and then the future after we get back to the States is shrouded in a rather unlovely cloud of uncertainty, I have begun to realize more and more how important Home is. Because everybody needs something to come back to at night, after the adventures are over. Even the great hero Odysseus, with all his thrilling escapades and friends who begged and bribed him to stay with them, just wanted to go home.
So what is Home? It’s much more than four walls and a roof. But what does that mean? I’m still figuring that out. And having grand adventures along the way. 🙂
